Go back Our Phantom/Rothbrix Classic, White Portion ReviewLaunched in 2009 and made in Silkeborg, Denmark by V2 Tobacco. Even though Phantom White portion snus is made in Denmark, V2 makes all their snus to the same, high quality standards that snus made in Sweden is! Phantom White is classified as a White type portion which, as you may or may not know, does not go thru the additional step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to the portions. While this can leave the material a bit dry, V2 uses a soft, teabag type material that is really comfortable under the lip for about 2 hours. Each can of Phantom White contains 24 portions that are a bit less than one gram each with 8 mg of Nicotine per portion. Phantom White’s can is the basic black plastic with the V2 logo embossed in the lid. Ok, now that you know the basics of Phantom White, let’s talk flavor! Phantom White’s flavor is a mix of mild tobaccos that give the snus a light, peppery flavor while also adding a slight sweetness. There is also the typical salty taste but it’s not as strong as one would think, along with the hint of bergamot. The bergamot flavor, for those who don’t know what a bergamot tastes like is a cross between a lemon and a grapefruit and adds another element to the flavor of Phantom White. The bergamot adds the hint of bitterness needed to bring out the flavors in the tobacco and cutting thru the salt. The curious thing about Phantom White is that the flavor is not as strong as you would think it would be since it’s from V2!
