One of Wilsons' less memorable offerings. The blackberry is the stronger scent, but I do also get hints of maple-molasses-ish rum-ishness. The main trouble here is that the scent disappears very quickly, and what's left is nothing different from an average SP, except the initial flavor-rush drowns out the subtleties typical of an SP. That said, it's all functionally good - none of the in-nose agony of some American scotches, and none of the painful throat-drip of some of the De Kralingse blends. Pity it doesn't deliver the nicotine of the former or the sublime flavor of the latter.
