Go back Our Skruf Stark, Loose ReviewIntroduced in 2005 and made by Skruf AB in Sweden, Skruf Stark loose is classified as a loose (lös in Swedish) type snus with a fine grind which means that the tobacco is ground to very small pieces and a texture like you would find in wet powder. Since the snus is a finer grind than other loose snus, a handmade prilla is a bit harder to make and doesn’t last as long as the one made by a tool. During out testing, the handmade prilla lasted about an hour before falling apart while the tool made one lasted over two hours but, the flavor could last much longer. Each can of Skruf Stark loose contains 45 grams of snus with a Nicotine content of 10 mg per gram. Skruf Stark’s can is made from White plastic, both top and bottom with the signature clear plastic label. The lid makes a pretty tight seal with the bottom and doesn’t accidently pop off in your pocket but, you’re here for the flavor, not the can so, let’s take a look! Skruf Stark loose has the same flavor as its portion sibling just a bit mellower. The same flavor of quality, handpicked tobacco from all corners of the globe give Skruf Stark’s base flavor a mild, earthy taste while the bergamot, who’s flavor is a combination of lemon and grapefruit, and Rose Oil add an herbal freshness to the overall taste. The Rose Oil here is not as pronounced as it is in the portion version and is just a hint but like we said in the beginning, the flavors in Skruf Stark loose are milder than the portion version as well as being less saltier since the salt is needed in the portion version to help the Nicotine release where in the loose version, the tobacco is right up against your lip and not as much is needed. We think that snus users, new and experienced, will find Skruf Stark loose’s mild flavor and higher Nicotine content pleasing but, this is what we think, we want to know our thoughts! This is my everyday snus its got the flavour and the nicotine the longer its in your mouth the better it tastes. I find the portions start to get a little bitter after half hour or so but the loose just gets nicer. This gets top marks from me it’s a real winner.

great los. I usually use portion at work but like to keep a can or two of the Scruf Los to use at home. real good flavor

My "go-to" lös snus. It is very moist, and one of the easiest snuses to hand-bake. Using a Prismaster will leave you with more than a little juice on your finger. The flavoring here is very rich - there's more musk here than in the average Ettan or Gröv pris, and more nicotine to boot.
A single pris can last in one's upper lip for an hour, and that's factoring in the occasional sip of drink - without the drink, this can last even longer. That's testament to how well Skruf bakes, and how nice and long-lasting the flavor is - leave an Ettan in for more than thirty minutes, and you'll start to turn green! There's a reason why the portion version of Skruf is a cornerstone of every "starter kit" - there is no reason why any snuser should go without trying this unique snus.

Skruf Lös
one of the best loose versions. This snus is the easiest to handle as far as texture, and it 'bakes' or packs nicely. The flavor is one of the best with its full tobacco flavor with a hint of rose. All around, one of my favorite loose versions. To leave a comment or review, press the button |
